Anti-Aging Treatments
One morning, you notice a line across your forehead that wasn’t there last year. At Savage Serenity in Fresno, we treat it all. Angela Savage, RN, takes a full-face approach to anti-aging. Instead of chasing one wrinkle at a time, she looks at your skin quality, your facial structure, and your specific concerns. Then she builds a plan using the right combination of treatments to address what’s actually going on.

When To Start Anti-Aging Treatments
“Am I too young for this?” is one of the most common questions we hear from patients in their twenties. The short answer is no. Anti-aging is mostly about prevention, and prevention works best when you start before the damage gets deep.
For patients in their 30s and 40s, the approach shifts toward correction and maintenance. That’s when treatments like Botox, dermal fillers, Sofwave, and microneedling start playing a bigger role.
For patients in their 50s and beyond, the focus is on restoring volume, tightening skin, and improving texture with a combination of treatments. There is no age at which it’s “too late” to see improvement. The plan just looks different.
Recovery Expectations For Anti-Aging Treatments
Botox and Dysport: No real downtime. You might have a tiny bump at each injection site that fades within 20 minutes. Results take 7 to 14 days to show fully.
Dermal fillers: Swelling and possible bruising for 3 to 7 days. Final settled result at 2 to 4 weeks. Bruising can take up to 10 days to clear.
Sofwave: Mild redness and slight swelling for a few hours to a day. Most patients look normal the next morning. Results build over 3 to 6 months.
Clear + Brilliant: Rough, sandpapery skin for 3 to 7 days. Some redness. Do not pick or scrub. Let the old skin shed on its own.
Microneedling: Red, sunburned-looking skin for 1 to 2 days. Mild peeling is possible, and it will be back to normal within 3 to 5 days.
Chemical peels: Varies by depth. Light peels have almost no visible recovery. Medium peels involve 3 to 5 days of flaking. Deep peels need a week or more.
IV therapy: No downtime. You sit in a chair for 30 to 45 minutes and leave.
How To Figure Out What Your Skin Actually Needs
-
Tone problems
If your main concern is brown spots, sun damage, uneven pigmentation, or rosacea-related redness, that’s a tone issue. Tone problems live in the color of your skin. They are usually treated with laser resurfacing, chemical peels, or medical-grade products with Vitamin C and other brightening actives.
-
Texture problems
If your skin feels rough, looks crepey, has visible pores, or has fine lines that you can feel when you run your fingers across your face, that’s texture. Texture problems live in the surface layer of your skin. Microneedling, Clear + Brilliant, and chemical peels are the go-to treatments here.
-
Volume loss
If your face looks hollow, your cheeks have flattened, your under-eyes are sunken, or your jawline has lost definition, that’s volume loss. This is a structural issue happening deeper in the face. Dermal fillers and biostimulators like Sculptra are how we address it.

Why Fresno Patients Choose Savage Serenity For Anti-Aging
Angela Savage, RN, does every injectable treatment herself. She has four years of focused experience in aesthetic injectables and facial anatomy. For skin treatments, her team includes licensed estheticians trained in medical-grade procedures.
We take a full-face, long-term approach to anti-aging. Instead of selling you a single treatment and sending you on your way, Angela creates a plan that addresses your concerns in the right order, with the right combination of treatments. That might mean starting with Botox and skincare, then adding a laser treatment a few months later, then addressing volume loss with fillers down the road.
